So the Pentax K-30 is a camera that I've been eyeing for a while. Don't get me wrong. I love my Canon Rebel XS. However, my DSLR seems rather outdated compared to the models out now. The Pentax K-30 has video recording capabilities. How awesome is that? And on top of that, the camera is weather-proof. That would've been a helpful feature when I went to the Marian Days celebration in Carthage, Missouri back at the beginning of August. One of the more interesting features of Pentax DLSRs is their compatibility with film SLR lenses. This would be a totally great feature for me since my dad, being a "photographer" back in the day, left me a stash of good Pentax SLR lenses. He left me a couple of SLR bodies as well, but I'm not quite comfortable taking pictures on a film SLR. A Pentax K-30 kit sells for around $899.95 for the camera body and a DA L 18-55 lens. Man, I wished I had the money for one. I would sell my Canon, but I kinda doubt it'll sell for much. On top of that, my parents bought warranty for that sucker. Bleh. Oh well.
